Survive and Thrive Letter to the Pathwork Community

Dear Friend of Sevenoaks:

Though the Oak House leaves are mostly down, the spirits of the land at Sevenoaks draw deeply from the life that abides underground. In our daily lives, we tend to see what is passing and feel the grief of that loss. Yet abundant life abides, if quietly; the view of the Blue Ridge mountains from Oak House is clearer, and the evergreens shelter and nourish the medicine wheel. This is the time of year for remembering, recalling, and appreciating the deeper life within.

As we look forward to the blessings of the Holiday season, what better time to remember Sevenoaks as a center for healing and learning? Next year marks its 50th year; it has survived many waves of change, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Sevenoaks has enjoyed several gatherings this year; 2022 is looking good for a fuller reopening.

But we need your help to get through the winter: to keep the buildings running, the grounds in shape, the housekeeping ready, and the kitchen in operation. Our intrepid crew, including Gretchen and Alex Comer, Pat O’Hanlon, his daughter Niki, and Paulette Minor, have shown extraordinary heart and dedication through these trying times.

We ask you to reflect on your gratitude for Sevenoaks, and as you consider where to contribute, we hope you will give generously from the heart.
